Job Description

Covenant Health is seeking a Full-time, Day Shift Phlebotomist for Laboratory - HOPD Department at Grace Medical Center.

Job Summary:

Performs capillary and venous blood collection, and delivers/processes laboratory specimens under the direction of the supervisor.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs capillary and venous blood collections.
  • Labels all tubes and aliquots accurately, immediately upon collection.
  • Recognizes priorities and plans for the completion of remaining duties.
  • Performs all procedures per established department policy and procedure.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Coursework/Training Graduate from an accredited venipuncture school with Venipuncture Certificate.

Experience:

  • 2 years Experience in blood specimen collections on adults and children in a hospital environment.
