An Omnicell Pharmacy Operations Specialist is primarily responsible for being the product expert and has direct involvement with the implementation of the customer purchased Omnicell solutions. They are actively involved in the setup, configuration, testing, and training of Omnicell solutions. The Pharmacy Operations Specialist will also promote Omnicell best practices and clinical workflow discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Works independently to train and develop pharmacy services technicians to successfully meet customer financial goals and objectives.
  • Works independently with internal and external customers to identify and meet ROI objectives.
  • Works closely with implementation manager and technical teams to execute all activities associated with the project plan.
  • Promote and optimize client product ownership, satisfaction and clinical integration through adoption of technology and product use procedures.
  • Complete special projects, reports and status updates on a regular basis for program management and project team.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and product consultant or Omnicell solutions.
  • Educate customer regarding overall workflow for daily operations including production schedules, staffing and documentation.
  • Act on opportunities to maximize Omnicell solutions by recommending the incorporation of improvements in product features and functionality.
  • Recommend drugs to be added to Omnicell solutions based on data usage, demand, and workflow.
  • Develops technical training and documentation for field team training.
  • Provides best practice advice and input for customer process discussions.
  • Provides customer pre and post-implementation support per project scope to ensure customer success.
  • Report implementation activity to the Omnicell project manager.
  • Risk escalations to Omnicell implementation manager or Project Deployment Manager.
  • Executes required tasks to ensure timely go live and customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with reasonable procedures, policies and guidelines established by the customer facility
  • Maintaining strong industry and product knowledge

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with customers and with employees at various levels
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently and follow a detailed plan
  • Ability to assist with analysis of training needs and to conduct training session
  • Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds
  • Must be able to travel frequently
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Note: The selected individual must have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record, be able to meet company’s insurance coverage requirements and have their own vehicle in acceptable working condition.

Basic Qualifications

  • Professional Certification or Associate degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in healthcare or in a customer support function

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor degree
  • 3 years’ experience implementing and supporting of clinical solutions with healthcare
  • Knowledge of IV / Sterile Compounding

Work Conditions

  • Field Based position
  • 100% Travel Required
  • Irregular work hours may be required to meet the needs of the customer
  • May be required to stand or sit for long periods of time
