Pet Groomer/Stylist

That Dirty Dog is a fast growing grooming salon looking to add new members to out team due to high demand for our services. We are a one-of-a-kind pet salon in prime downtown location in Andover, MA offering a range of services: self-dog washing to full service grooming and a small pet boutique. Our mission is to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them and we are seeking new members of the That Dirty Dog family to help bring this mission to life.

Preferred Experience:

• 2-4 years experience in dog grooming including bathing, scissor cutting, excellent clipper techniques, de-matting/de-shedding, ear plucking, nail clipping, nail trimming/grinding, teeth brushing, and gland expressing for most standard breeds of all sizes/ages. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs - will have help for larger and/or older dogs as needed
• Cat grooming preferred, but not required
• Confidence in grooming skills including strong dog handling abilities
• Able to perform an average of 5-6 hair/fur cuts per shift - daily schedule of the mix of breeds will vary based on time required for each pet
• Must have own grooming tools - clippers with different blades and scissors required for most breeds, different brushes and combs. Employer provides electric lift tables, necessary restraints, muzzles, some brushes and combs, all bathing/drying tools including various shampoos, conditioners, degreasers, dryers, ear cleaners, etc. All provided equipment is less than 2 years old and in excellent working condition.
• Strong communication skills with other team members and customers especially at the pet drop off to ensure there is clear expectations set
• References and photos of work must be provided

Pay: $25,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Private area for groomers so limited exposure to general public at any given time. All employees wear masks 100% of the time and there is at least 6 ft between each grooming station so able to comfortably physically distance everyone.
