Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform dog grooming services to breed standards and to client’s personal preferences and hold your groomers to those same standards
• Knowledge of both breed standard styling as well as meeting the specifics of customers' requirements
• Knowledge and experience of all standard Grooming techniques - grooming, bathing, nail filing / trims, ear cleaning, gland expression, etc
• Be a subject matter expert on the food and products we carry in order to provide the best customer service possible
• Complete the Earthwise Pet Nutrition Certification program
• Demonstrate professionalism and able to maintain a positive work environment
• Ability to communicate with other team members
• Be passionate about what you do, be curious and want to continue your education and training.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience
• Passion for pets and their owners - Have previous dog industry experience - daycare, boarding, veterinary, and/or shelter.
• Motivating, positive, helpful attitude
• Inquisitiveness and desire to learn
• Highly accountable and has integrity
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly, both written and verbally and be competent with basic math, comfortable using computers

Physical Requirements

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. You must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

2. At least 2 years of experience
