Job Description

Looking for someone that can fill one of two tasks.

1. Personal Assistant to organize paperwork, pay bills, laundry, house cleaning, phone calls, over see maintenance or upgrade projects.

2. Camera Operator. Capable of understanding or will train basic camera techniques to shoot video of different locations throughout the area. This will be related to events, scenic views, real estate, construction and other assignments. Need to be able to use a smart phone, follow directions and be willing to improve.

his is an entry level potion. Great first time job or while you are still completing your studies.

The job will change with time as certain projects get completed. On the business side, the position will start with a large amount of sorting, organizing and tracking items. Mail, correspondence and bills need to be sorted out by month and year and then cataloged.

On the personal side, light house keeping duties including laundry and cleaning of a personal home. Sorting through, cataloging and posting clothing and electronic items for sale and / or preparing for packing and storage.

Long term if you are a good fit then the position would turn into full time. There is also opportunity to start and run various social media channels related to Reno and Real Estate. Once these two projects are complete the position will be oriented to multimedia work, customer service, real estate maintenance / coordinator (Finding sub contractors, getting estimates, setting schedules, cleaning rental properties, etc.) running errands (shopping, picking up mail, dropping off deposits, meeting tenants, etc.) Depending on the properties needing to be disposed or acquired there is potential for advancement and additional new duties.

I will eventually be relocating and if you fit the position and are able to work under remote direction you will then be working for / with the people I do professionally and personally. This is a great position for someone who can take direction, complete projects assigned and at the same time is looking for an opportunity to be creative and provide new solutions to complete various tasks / problems.

Camera Post:

The video's and content you will be creating will be mainly for real estate and promotion of Reno and the surrounding area. Will include but not be limited to: Intro's, trailer's, weekly featured property, updates, statistic info graphics, Reno history, Reno construction projects, proposed projects, past event highlights, current events and features for other businesses.

As our video and media editor you will need to be able to create various design projects (from start to finish) based on communications/ideas from presented by the team; be capable of taking these concepts and creating professional pieces that represents the organization, client and overall brand. The student will be responsible for operating camera equipment, video cameras and high level DSLR’s, setting up and maintaining studio lighting equipment.

Organizing data and footage, learning how to import/export and set up digital media projects. Editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, raw video from Zoom and other platforms, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects. Applying candidates should be self-starters, able to work successfully on their own, and able to work collectively to both craft and execute design concepts.

Intermediate knowledge of Adobe products (Premiere Pro is a big plus, After Effects would be great but not necessary as they can learn while here; Final Cut would be an alternative to Premiere Pro). At least a basic understanding of photography, videography, and script writing.

Preferred Qualifications

Solid knowledge of video production programs (Adobe Premiere, Aftereffects, Final Cut Pro X, Photo Shop)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word), Internet capabilities (Explorer, Mozilla, Chrome)

Proficiency with social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)

Create engaging and informative videos

Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity

Actively enrolled Sophomore or higher-level student with at least 1.5 years of completed college education

*Would be great if you had other social media skills, talent and experience. Feel free to include your socials (non-professional ok) and website. There is room for this position to expand into other projects and would be ideal for someone who can take direction and is looking for creative freedom-both in assigned tasks and proposing your own ideas.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
