Performance Tester

Hughes has an exciting opportunity for a Performance Tester to work within our Service Delivery Group located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD. The candidate will need to work with multiple teams to support the consumer and enterprise businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Provide input and insight to the architecture process.
• Model technical requirements to evaluate performance impacts.
• Develop performance requirements for helping tune performance bottlenecks in various enterprise architectures.
• Develop performance test strategies, test plans and validate performance test environments.
• Work with cross functional project terms to define performance metrics and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze performance test results to evaluate impacts on production infrastructure and make comparisons with previous release benchmarks.
• Provide performance sign-off and review results with the management and other technical groups.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Software Development and Performance Testing & Automation and/or Orchestration.
• Experience with tools such as JMeter, Loadrunner & AppDynamics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in Oracle scripting.
• Experience in JAVA, Salesforce, Linux, NodeJS, Apache desired
• Open Shift platform is desired

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
