Job Description
Overview:

Act as the frontline leader to support daily operations for the Pediatric Team Coordinators. Support daily standard work of team members and escalate barriers to leadership. Assist supervisor with orientation, training, staffing coverage, implementation of new initiatives, auditing, and on-going feedback for scheduling and appointment coordination. Partner with Clinic Charge Nurse and other departments to ensure tools and resources are up to date and ensure clinic resources are being utilized effectively and accurately. Engage in CPI improvement efforts and implement approved process changes. Provide oversight to ensure standard work for Pediatric Team Coordinators. Execute assigned projects, plans and assignments. Model and guide behavior for team members. May schedule staff and assign work. Serving as a lead, perform all standard duties and expectations of a Pediatric Team Coordinator.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - HS Diploma or equivalent. - At least 1 year's experience as a Surgery/Procedure Coordinator. - Minimum of 2 year's experience with progressive responsibilities in health care facility administrative support functions such as unit coordinator, operating room scheduler, patient care coordinator, family service coordinator or related roles. Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience working in a pediatric setting. - Experience working an academic medical setting. - Experience managing a culturally diverse staff.
