Job Description

Ohio based, Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our growing team in early 2022.This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative, transformative team in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine as you deliver care to pediatric patients and adult burn patients. Akron Children’s Hospital is the largest pediatric healthcare system in Northeast Ohio, and is ranked among the best children’s hospitals by US News and World Report.

Akron Children’s Hospital is an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes:

  • 2 free-standing pediatric hospitals
  • 900+ providers, who manage over 1,000,000 patient visits annually

  • Academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University is available and commensurate with experience

    • The successful candidate will join a well-established team of 17 Pediatric Anesthesiologists and 30+ CRNA’s that provide anesthesia and pain management services to tens of thousands of young patients each year, as well as approximately 10% adult population.Akron Children’s Hospital’s anesthetic volume is approximately 20,000 cases for all Pediatric Specialties, including, but not limited to, a Level I Burn Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, a Level II Trauma Center, Acute Pain and Cardiac services.

    Requirements:The incumbent will be BE/BC in Pediatric Anesthesia and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
