Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for providing clinical assistance for patient care. These duties may include greeting and rooming patients, interview patients to obtain a limited medical history and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature), assist with collection of lab specimens, document in patient chart or electronic medical record according to established protocol. This position will also be responsible for stocking and cleaning exam room per Clinic and Infection Control Policy, process and maintain integrity of all specimens according to established protocol, order and maintain clinic lab supplies, and all other duties as assigned or delegated by nursing. This position will also have responsibilities for assisting with clerical duties for the department. These duties may include registration with verifying patient demographics/insurance information, answering phones and customer service, complete medical and patient screenings and all other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications:
Required to either have:
An associate’s degree or higher in Athletic Training, Biology, Exercise Science/Physiology, General Sciences or related field.
OR
Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician program.
OR
Currently enrolled in an post-secondary healthcare program.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
