Overview:

Job Summary:

NPH is seeking a Payroll Manager to serve our patients and leadership team out of our corporate office in South Bend, IN. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for directing all aspects of payroll operations, which includes overseeing payroll processing, vendor management for taxes and garnishments and reporting. Responsibilities: Payroll Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of the payroll process, including approving transactions and reviewing exceptions to payroll;
  • Ensure all deadlines are met with completion and accuracy according to processing guidelines and state regulations;
  • Manage centralized payroll system for corporate office and multi-site locations;
  • Maintain payroll systems and timekeeping; report any issues to management while working with vendors on resolution of issues;
  • Supervise personnel involved in payroll and ensure the best financial practices are adhered to;
  • Audit payroll transactions to ensure that accounts, payment dates, and taxes are accurate and up to date;
  • Create monthly and annual payroll reports for management review;
  • Ensure all payroll systems comply with federal, state, and local laws;
  • Attend to any payroll-related queries or questions from employees.
Qualifications: Payroll Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, human resource management, or relevant experience in a similar field;
  • At least three years' experience as a Payroll leader;
  • Excellent working knowledge of payroll software;
  • Familiarity with labor legislation, federal, and state tax laws;
  • The ability to ethically work with employee-sensitive information;
  • Solid knowledge of data entry management;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
