Payroll Administrator
  • Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 DOE
  • Exempt with Annual Bonus Opportunity
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision PTO & 401K with company match
  • Full-Time Opportunity - Monday-Friday.
  • Preferred Office Hours: 7:30 – 4:00 PM (20-40% remote opportunity after training)
  • Casual office work environment

What You'll Do:

As the Payroll Administrator you will process weekly payroll for our 650+ employees across five states using ADP Workforce Now including certified payroll for our construction division. You'll process important and time-sensitive payroll related requirements such as garnishments, support orders and verifications of employment. You will also perform weekly reporting, monthly benefits billing and reconciliation. If you have great attention to detail and outstanding interal customer service, analytical and numerical skills, we’d like to meet you.

  • Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all documentation is in order

  • Weekly certified payroll reporting for construction division

  • Process employment status changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires)

  • Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks

  • Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, taxes, worker’s compensation)

  • Monthly reconciliation and payment of benefit accounts

  • Answer employee questions or complaints about payroll, deductions and benefits

  • Work with accounting department and audtiors on audits or requests

  • FMLA and State Leave Law Administration and responses to employees

  • Ensure compliance for I-9's & e-Verify

  • Manage new hire benefits enrollment process and reminders

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in the construction industry and certified reports/prevailing wage preferred.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; including pivot tables, lookups and formulas for data reporting.

  • Possess a good understanding of accounting and GL entries as it pertains to payroll

  • Prior experience in payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll/HRIS system.

  • AA Degree or equivalent experience and one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail

  • FMLA and Leave Law Administration experience is preferred

  • Use discretion and maintain confidentiality and confidential information.
