Job Description

OB/GYN practice seeks front desk receptionist/patient coordinator. Must be personable and outgoing and have positive personality and outlook. Must be able to multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities include:

  • answering phones
  • check-in and check-out patients
  • scheduling patients
  • collecting co-pays and balances
  • reconciling daily payments
  • creating payment plans
  • verifying insurance benefits and insurance eligibility
  • making collection calls
  • making appointment reminder calls
  • working on EHR
  • coordinating billing issues
  • handle incoming and outgoing medical records
  • counseling/triaging patients under physician supervision
  • collaborating with medical assistant
  • assisting office manager, billing office, and physician
  • learning some clinical responsibilities - vitals, phlebotomy, injections, assisting physician
  • backing-up medical assistant

Must work independently and efficiently and be able to problem solve yet know when to ask for help. Marketing and social media experience a plus. Medical office and EHR experience required and medical assistant/phlebotomist skills preferred but not required as this would mainly be a front office administrative position. Must be an outgoing and organized individual, have EHR and computer proficiency, be a team player who maintains professionalism and integrity, and be dedicated to a paperless environment.

This is an excellent position for someone with medical office experience or for an entry level position for motivated individual interested in a career in healthcare and who wants to learn more about women's health. This is a perfect position to gain administrative and clinical experience prior to going to medical, nursing, or physician assistant school.

Full time Monday through Friday. Benefits included after 90 days. Compensation based upon experience. Please provide cover letter with resume and provide desired compensation and availability to start.
