Position description

This position allows clinical teams (Allied Health Staff and providers) to focus on face-to-face encounters with patients by coordinating clinical functions as follows:

• receiving and rooming patients
• completion of paperwork such as pre-visit planning, prior authorizations, work compensation paperwork
• equipment/deep room cleaning including stocking and monitoring of expiration on all supplies
• maintaining levels of supplies, ordering, receiving and routing of supplies appropriately

Demonstrates tact and patience in dealing with health care team members.
Demonstrates strong organizational skills in maintaining a smooth flow for care team.
Exhibits appropriate use of telecommunications equipment and uses computer efficiently.
Demonstrates initiative, proficiency, and good judgment to optimize the use of care teams time when seeing patients.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and excellence in service are important components of the role. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent required.
Working knowledge of computers and software applications required.
Demonstrated ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
Must be well organized, detail-oriented, accurate and efficient.

Additional qualifications

Preferred: PCA ,HUC, MA, NA, Ward Clerk experience
Preferred: Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.

License or certification

BLS (Basic Life Support) to be obtain within 30 days of hire.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $15.24 per hour.

Variable day shift.

This position will cover Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics in Red Wing.

This position will cross train to Primary Care departments at other River Corridor sites (Cannon Falls, Lake City, Ellsworth, and Zumbrota) if needed.

No weekends at this time
