SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.

Inland Valley Medical Center This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 122-bed acute care hospital, is the only hospital in the region to offer Level II Trauma Services and is a nationally recognized center for weight-loss surgery. The Total Joint Center at Inland Valley was awarded advanced certification from the Joint Commission for hip and knee surgery, with Spine Services certified by The Joint Commission, and is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center. Rancho Springs Medical Center This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 120-bed acute care hospital, features the largest Family Birth Center in the region which includes Rady Children’s Level III NICU (Recently ranked #4 in the nation for neonatology by US News and World Report). The only hospital in the region to offer pediatric ER Services from Rady Children’s, is an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center, and features the da Vinci® Robotic Xi Surgical System and a new diagnostic Cath Lab.


As a staff member providing clinical expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, and quality and efficient services. QualificationsESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Required:

Ø Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Ø Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as willingness to handle difficult patients

Ø Must possess the ability to make decisions when circumstances warrant such action, utilizing the appropriate level of supervision (i.e. RN, Manager)

Ø Basic knowledge of good body mechanics.

Ø Ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of team members.

Ø Ability to accurately collect and record patient data as directed.

Ø Basic computer skills, to include MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Required:
Ø Knowledge of hospital environment. Previous hospital and/or healthcare related experience.
Preferred:
1 year experience as a sitter within an acute hospital setting
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Required:

Ø High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.)
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

Ø BLS Certification * Ø CPI Certification – may be obtained within 60-days of hire *
  • Not required for COVID screeners

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ø Subject to many interruptions. Ø Subject to irregular hours. Ø Ability to work in fast-paced environment where noise levels and temperatures fluctuate. Ø Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
