Specialty Infusion Centers is a leading provider of outpatient infusion and injections therapy for patients with chronic conditions, such as Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoporosis, and many others. Requirements

  • 6 months – 1 year Clinical Experience.
  • Good eye for detail to spot mistakes/inconsistencies in medical documentation.
  • Possess a superior understanding of Medical language and terminology.
  • Well acquainted with anatomy, physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments.
  • Type 55 words per minute minimum.
  • Must be computer savvy.
  • Patience, Enthusiasm & Excellent Customer Service Skills.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Greeting patients always with a smile to assist in completing paperwork; answering questions and providing respectful and courteous support.
  • Perform medical assistant duties such as recording vitals, and office tests.
  • Produce medical reports, correspondence, records, patient-care information, and administrative material.
  • Accompany and shadow infusion nurses supporting overall infusion workflow.
  • Coordinating and prioritizing patient support with the Medical & Administrative Team.
  • Faxing, filing, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Always safeguarding and maintaining patient confidentiality by abiding by company policy and HIPAA regulation.
  • This is a Part-Time position (20-30 hrs/wk), with potential to be Full-Time.
  • Shifts will be at Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776 location.

  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
