Part-Time Cashier - Daytime Hours, No Sundays/Holidays!

What You’ll Take Ownership Of:

• Greeting and assisting all customers, potential customers, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner
• Collecting customer information and checking out customer’s merchandise using a point-of-sale system
• Handling and bagging customers merchandise with and coordinating assistance for loading customer products
• Keeping informed on sales, rebates, and promotions of product
• Directing customers to Inside Sales Associates if they have questions or need help with selecting products
• Answering customer questions over the phone; providing sales quotes for future purchases; researching product and inventory
• Helping in maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, including product displays and work areas by fronting, pricing, and stocking sales shelves when not ringing up product for customers
• Participating in store events such as physical inventories, sales meetings, trade shows, and special sales
• Assisting in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safety standards and reporting any suspicious activity
• Rolling with the punches when it comes to taking on new, related challenges

Need-To-Haves:

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
• Aptitude to adapt to a fast-paced, ever changing work environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers in person, over the phone, and through email
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to frequently lift up to 30 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand up on a hard surface for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours), bend, sit, squat, lift overhead, push, pull, kneel and reach
• Ability to work a rotating Saturday shift
