Position Summary:

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a parking Maintenance Ambassador at the Century Center/City of South Bend. The Parking Maintenance Ambassador is responsible for participating in the day-to-day functions of delivering outstanding customer service; Assist customers with entry/exit equipment questions; Be able to deliver answers to questions regarding area attraction; Ensuing the facility is clean, reporting safety or liability hazards and working closely with parking security management to protect company assets.

Major Responsibilities:

• Utilize the cleaning checklist for the daily, weekly and monthly duties; including garbage pick-up, sweeping, washing and basic repairs.
• Provide assistance with projects.
• Ability to function as a cashier or traffic attendant if needed.
• Be able to use equipment including sweepers, power washers, etc.
• Use two-way radio for communication with management, security, and staff.
• Ensure that all safety standards are maintained.
• Other maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner. This will include initiating contact with guests within 10 feet – i.e. smiling, saying “Good Day” or offering assistance when needed.
• Must feel comfortable when around large groups or speaking to a guest, as needed.
• Understands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of “The Magic is in the Details.”
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. One or two years of cashier experience. Previous cash handling experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Must have and demonstrate good customer service skills. Must maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to adverse weather conditions; including rain, snow, and hot weather. Exposure to various cleaning chemicals used to clean the booth and surrounding areas. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds as needed. Must be able to sit and/or stand for a long period of time.'

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
