Job Description
PantherTemps is our in-house temporary staffing agency to assist all University departments with temporary support services in a timely, cost-effective, and stress-free manner. Work assignments are offered to PantherTemps candidates on a part-time or full-time basis. Length of assignments may range from one day to nine months.

Qualifications:Examples of Minimum Hiring Standards (MHS) for positions in this category are:
Carpenter I: Technical or vocational degree and one year of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Carpenter III: Associate’s degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Cashier Clerk: High school diploma or GED and six months cash handling experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Must be bondable for some positions. Must pass a background and credit check.
Custodian I: High school diploma or GED preferred. Six months experience working in an institutional, industrial or commercial setting preferred. Must pass a criminal background check.
Custodian III: High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in an institutional, industrial or commercial setting, including one year or more of supervisory or lead worker experience. Must pass a criminal background check.
Electrician I: Technical or vocational degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Groundskeeper I: Must pass a criminal background check. A valid Georgia driver's license is required. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Painter I: High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience.
Painter III: High school diploma or equivalent experience and at least two years lead worker or supervisory experience. Occasional evening and night work may be required as directed by the assigned Zone Chief.
Parking Services Attendant I: High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience.
Plumber I: Technical or vocational degree and one year of related experience; or high school diploma or GED and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Skilled Trades Worker: Technical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or high school diploma or GED and one year experience in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade. A valid Georgia Driver’s license is required.
