Job Description

Summary – basic function of the role


Operate paint line in a safe and efficient manner while producing high quality products. Work to provide continuous improvement with work processes and product distribution.


Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Load & unload parts on and off paint line.
  • Prepare parts for paint process; tape and mask threads and other areas not to be painted.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Add chemicals to cleaning system as required.
  • Complete PPM and PCS forms.
  • Test interpretation, troubleshooting and product appearance.
  • Exchange information with co-workers, and work as part of a team.
  • Follow safety instructions and wear safety equipment. Safety shoes &

glasses are required.


Skills and Competencies –


  • Able to read, write & speak English.
  • Job will require a moderate degree of mechanical, technical and/or analytic knowledge and experience.
  • Some independent decision making, judgment and action required.
  • Ability to work unsupervised is also required.
  • Prior history of painting not necessary but helpful.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Work flexible hours.
  • Ability to withstand heat on a regular basis.
  • Must be self-motivated / self-directed.
  • Willing to learn operation of ‘Raymond Forklift’ and other duties.
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and blueprint reading skills.

Education and Experience


Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience Requirements:

Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or other related field. Previous paint experience (commercial or residential) is desired.

Physical Demands


Employee will lift 1-30 pounds intermittently and may have to lift documents/work materials up to 40 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk to a variety of primary work locations. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce


Work Environment


Employee will be in a manufacturing environment where they may work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to vibration.
