Job Description

Position Summary

Generate sales from both company leads and self-generated prospects for new sales of residential and small business automation, alarm security systems and monitoring services. This position reports to the Branch manager. Work hours vary, including evenings and mandatory Saturdays.

Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Perform as the face of CSG, promoting a positive company image and insuring customer relations while presenting CSG products and services to potential and existing customers.
  • Utilize salesforce.com CRM for all leads and continual updates through the sales process.
  • Create professional written communications for all the sales updates, including: phone discussion notes, emails and/or letters/mailings sent to prospects.
  • Perform on-site cold calling and networking to find potential customers.
  • Keep pre-scheduled appointments and schedule new appointments with homeowners and business owners to complete sales presentations.
  • Follow through in a timely and professional manner with the entire sales process.
  • Achieve monthly sales goals.
  • Possess superior organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Report to the branch manager monthly with the daily action plan and explanation of activity.
  • Follow-up with customers after the installation process to assure customer satisfaction and obtain referrals.
  • Stay current and follow company policies, procedures and understand HR policies as described in the employee handbook.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Follow all safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

  • Must have and be proficient with a smart phone and tablet for the company presentations and virtual demos related to our products.

Company Sales Lead Distribution Policy

CSG will provide sales leads generated by the company and outside lead aggregators based on the following guidelines:

  • CSG does not guarantee that all sales reps will receive company provided sales leads.
  • CSG does not guarantee that all sales reps will receive an equal number of company provided sales leads.
  • Sales reps must contact all company provided sales leads within one hour of receiving the lead.
  • Sales reps must provide a disposition status to the branch manager on all leads within 24 hours of receiving the lead.
  • Sales reps must have a company provided email
  • Sales reps must be able to receive sales lead emails on a mobile device (smart phone, tablet, etc.)
  • Sales reps with two self-generated installs may be placed at the front of the lead distribution system. i.e. next lead, next on-call shift, etc.
  • Sales reps may be taken out of the sales lead distribution system for a maximum of one week if:
  • The close rate is below 50%
  • The sales rep did not contact the lead within one hour
  • The sales rep did not provide a disposition status within 24 hours


Educational and Licenses/Certificates

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Have or qualify for an alarm monitoring sales license
  • Must remain up-to-date with industry licensing and testing requirements
  • Current DL and ability to pass a DMV check. Present insurance with reliable transportation.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Be flexible, adaptable and self-motivated in a fast paced MAS environment.
  • Work is performed in all kinds of weather at various locations within a given district or territory.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle while seated for extended periods and be able to drive at night.
  • Stress levels are moderate in regards to work associated with constant demands to meet commission goals.
  • Work shifts vary based on client and operational needs.


Supervisory Responsibility

Individuals must be able to accept supervision and direction from the Branch Operations Manager.
