Requirements Senior DBA with high experience with Oracle and MySql database functions including but not limited to, backup and recovery, RAC and maintenance. Solid experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) including installation and configuration. Familiarity with database queries. Knowledge of database design and theories. Ability to work with data architects and other IT specialist to set up, maintain and monitor data networks. Knowledge of database structure languages, such as SQL and PL/SQL. Experience with server installation and maintenance. Familiarity with database management best practices. Knowledge of IT security best practices. Experience with a variety of computer information systems. Excellent attention to detail. Problem-solving and critical thinking. Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms. Good multitasking abilities. Solid experience with Solaris and Linux Operating Systems. Solid communication skills - interface with Govt. and contractor DBEs. Solid knowledge of software life-cycle and CM practices. Six (8) years of business or related IT experience is required. Bachelor's degree in a business or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) years of additional business or related IT experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
