Summary of Role

As Operations Manager, you have the exciting opportunity to lead a team of analysts in driving down the solar installation project cycle time to get to our goal of delivering World Class experience for our customers. This role is responsible for overseeing the project milestones which enables project readiness for the residential solar installation. You will be interfacing with finance, sales, project managers, sub-contractors and other cross-functional team members in operations. The ideal candidate must be able to have a good understanding of lean concepts, able to oversee many projects while having the overall vision of how to improve the process to meet entitlement goals. Define best-in-class processes by creating ‘use case’ to depict the process steps and user requirements for the digital team to develop the tools needed to meet business objectives, drive process improvements, and reduce project cycle time.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Develops organization

  • Define team objectives and metrics
  • Hiring, management, and career development of the team
  • Personnel performance reviews and discipline
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver short- and long-term corporate goals and objectives and the desired organizational behavior


Drive project readiness

  • Clear communication with Project Coordinators on process and escalation management
  • Present vision of current and future state in what impact your actions will have to the outcome of cycle time and customer experience
  • Create processes that enables maximum efficiency for project throughput
  • Work with digital teams on tools to enable scalable processes



Related Experience and Educational Requirements


Minimum requirements

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in business management, operations, engineering.
  • Experience in ERP order management systems.
  • Ten or more years experience managing Operations, lean manufacturing, customer service, project management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required
  • Advanced reporting and analytic experience, including extensive experience summarizing detailed data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work as a project team leader and innovator a must.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, oral communication, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Influential, self-starting, persuasive, and driven.
  • Proven ability in meeting business and organizational objectives.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial Skills: Communication, Managing people, Decision Making, Negotiation, Project Management, Problem Solving, Collaborative and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
