OUR IMPACTThe Consumer and Wealth Management Division (CWM) includes Goldman Sachs Asset Management Division (AMD), Private Wealth Management (PWM) and our Consumer business (Marcus by Goldman Sachs). We provide asset management, wealth management, and banking expertise to consumers and institutions around the world. CWM partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives
Our Private Banking & Digital Investing team provides critical operations and user experience design to ensure business flows smoothly while providing a superb customer journey. The team members play a vital role in upholding the customer support principles of customer focus, innovation, and risk management.
YOUR IMPACT
We’re looking for a Fraud Analytics subject matter expert to join our CWM Fraud Strategy team. This individual would leverage their skills and ideas to create and lead new processes and develop new capabilities.RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Job Summary & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of detection and prevention strategies that help mitigate fraud losses while ensuring an appropriate balance between financial/reputational risk and customer impact
  • Work independently or partner with other teams to design, develop and implement both reoccurring and ad hoc reports and metrics to support fraud function and reduce risk
  • Undertake daily/weekly/monthly analytics of application and transactional activities to identify unusual activities. Interpret results of analyses, identify trends and issues, and recommend alternatives to support business objectives.
  • Recommend and introduce fresh thinking, new tools, state of the art technology used for fraud detection, prevention and reporting activities
  • Provide regular analysis of metrics and analytical tools employed to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business
  • Support the Fraud Strategy Manager in identifying and developing process enhancements to maximize efficiency of fraud detection activities as required
  • Support the monthly reporting process on activities undertaken within Fraud operations
  • Assist in documenting procedures and recommend follow-up actions
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external partners and cooperation in the investigations we undertake
  • Identify and secures additional opportunities with vendors
  • Work closely with other teams across the business to ensure new products and services include fraud mitigation strategies

Qualifications
  • Must be self-directed, detail-oriented, driven, and able to work independently in a team-oriented and fast paced environment
  • Excellent business analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work using own initiative, be inquisitive and able to work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Able to work across functional teams, working on multiple and complex issues simultaneously.
  • Excellent data analysis and data manipulation skills using tools such as Excel.
  • Proven understanding and knowledge in Fraud Analysis, Consumer Compliance or Internal Audit.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in an operational or risk prevention role in financial services or related industries
  • Experience in analyzing and consolidating business information for across all levels of the organization
  • Sound working knowledge of fraud trends, tools, best practices in Consumer, Institutional or Wealth Management lines of business
  • Proficiency in R, SQL, or Python is a plus
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence reporting, KPIs and KRIs
  • Background in statistics or experience applying statistical analysis is a plus
