The Opportunity

The Apparel Print Designer’s primary responsibility is to create trend appropriate, original fabric and print designs that maintain the product aesthetic and strategy for all of QVC’s proprietary Brands. The Print Designer is responsible for all aspects of designing printed, woven and embroidered textiles inclusive of the conception of ideas, execution of engraver ready art, and development color stories. Responsible for overall project management and follow-up for each CAD created.

Your Impact

CAD Development and Trend:

  • Process a strong level of artistic ability while designing prints, yarn dyes, embroideries and embellishments for multiple QVC proprietary brands.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current and upcoming trends in the women’s apparel market at all times via shopping trips, studio visits and conferences.
  • Knowledge of Ned Graphics Design and Repeat or similar textile design software; plus good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Possess technical knowledge in fabric printing, yarn dye fabrics, embroidery and embellishment techniques.
  • Create seasonal and or monthly line boards by style, color and print as a tool to benefit the greater team.
  • Adhere to the seasonal time and action calendars.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors in Fashion Design, Textile Design or Fine Arts.
  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in PC operation, NedGraphics Design or similar software, Photoshop and Illustrator software.
  • Strong design and conceptual skills.
  • Understanding of target customer.
  • Strong color sense / print sense.
