General Internship Requisition: This is an Evergreen Requisition, representing multiple similar internship opportunities. We are looking for an intern to join our Medical Product Marketing team in our Southborough, MA office. Due to COVID-19 work safety guidelines, this internship may be remote for a portion or all of the internship term.


This program will run from May 24 - August 6, 2021. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week.

As an intern at Olympus, you will contribute to our mission by helping your department complete key projects with a focus on medical devices. You will lead independent projects with the support of your team, in addition to shadowing and contributing to higher level initiatives that have a significant impact on the business and the company.


Our team is responsible for the product management, lifecycle management, and marketing of medical devices used in medical procedures to help surgeons and medical professionals gain access to best-in-class surgical technology and enhance patient care outcomes.


Some projects our former Product Marketing Interns have contributed to include:


  • Conducting interviews with existing customers and employees to develop new marketing materials, processes, and campaigns.


  • Creating marketing materials, training materials, and strategic plans to contribute to product launches.


  • Organizing and evaluating various datasets, including those related to shares of select markets and account targeting.


  • Recording and editing podcasts to deliver timely information to field- and site-based employees.


  • Developing resources and participating in new hire training for sales teams.


A typical day for you will include:


  • Collaborating with your supervisor, direct Marketing team, and other Olympus teams such as Field Sales, Marketing Communications, PR, and Enterprise Solutions to complete role-related assignments and projects.


  • Leading projects to completion during the internship program.


  • Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.


Job Requirements


Required Qualifications:


  • Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.


  • Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.


  • Preferred fields of study include Marketing, Health Economics, Entrepreneurial, Economics, Business Administration or related major.


  • Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.


  • Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


  • Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with or interest in data collection, data analysis, and/or market research.


  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.


  • Strong, professional communication skills.


  • Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.


  • General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.
