Job Description

The Office clerk jobis responsible for providing support that affects Soldiers’ overall records. The Office clerk (Human Resources Specialist) in the Army HR department of any given command does the career administrative work of the US Army Soldiers. A long list of duties is involved in the Office clerk job and the HR Specialist handles many duties and tasks, including annual evaluation details from the processing, coordination of requests Etc. This is NOT a civilian contractor position. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Position is an entry level career. (The US Army has over 150 different jobs)

Job Duties

  • Assist on all human resource support matters
  • Oversight of all strength management and strength distribution actions
  • Responsible for the readiness, health and welfare of all Soldiers.
  • Postal and personnel accountability support.
  • Maintain emergency notification data
  • Work with soldiers who are eligible for promotion and even arranges the promotion ceremony with the chain of command.
  • Arrange for soldier's removal boards and handle any disciplinary documentation when a soldier loses rank.
  • Evaluate soldiers' career desires and qualifications for advanced assignments and prepares and processes requests for transfer or reassignment.
  • Process classification or reclassification actions.
  • Prepare orders and request for orders.
  • Prepare and maintains officer and enlisted personnel records.
  • Prepare and reviews personnel casualty documents. Monitors suspense actions. Initiates, monitors, processes personnel evaluations.
  • Transfer records to the new home of record or new duty station.
  • Process personnel for separation and retirement.
  • Process and executes Personnel Service Center Standard Installation and Division Personnel Reporting System (SIDPERS) level procedures and actions.
  • Process applications for officer candidate school (OCS), warrant officer flight training, or other training.
  • Process recommendations for awards and decorations.
  • Initiate action for passports and visa.
  • Many more.

Minimum requirements

  • Be between 17-34 years old. (Exceptions may apply, case by case until 38 years old only.)
  • No felonies.
  • Have good health.
  • Current High School Senior, High school graduate, GED, equivalent in your country of origin or higher.
  • Be permanent resident or US citizen. (Only) Note: If you are permanent residents, you will not qualify for some jobs that requires to have security clearances.
  • You must meet physical standards based on gender and age, height and weight or BMI.
  • No tattoos in neck face or hands. (Exceptions may apply, case by case.)
  • Have US state driving license. (optional)
