Job Description

One of California's largest women’s health organizations is looking for a full or Nurse Practitioner to join our West Covina and Pomona teams, providing the highest quality family planning and gynecology services to patients throughout southern California.

The Nurse Practitioner provides specialized nursing services in women's health care, family planning, and abortion procedures. They deliver patient care utilizing the medical model to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcomes as related to family planning and surgical needs including abortion services. Services also include administration of medication abortion up to ten weeks, ultrasounds, birth control counseling, annual exams, pap smears, IUC placements, Nexplanon placements, infection checks/treatment, LEEP's, biopsies, and more.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A valid and current California license as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Current furnishing license
  • Current ACLS certification is required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some experience in women's health care is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Perform all tasks accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Possess a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to relate to diverse communities.
  • Possess a warm and caring manner.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of patient information and adhere to HIPPA regulations.
