St. Joseph Mercy Health System Ann Arbor has a Unit Manager opportunity for a Michigan Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) leading the inpatient Cardiology Unit.

The Nurse Manager, Patient Care Services will have the opportunity to lead and manage the SJMHS AA Resource Pool (RN, PCT, Clerks), Staffing Office, STAT Team, Patient Companions and partner with FirstCHOICE, our national, internal staffing agency.

BSN Registered Nurses, ill serve as a member of the Ministry Organization’s nursing leadership team.

Utilizing three or more years of clinical nursing or unit-level leadership experience the Unit Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services of one or more clinical areas. Further, the unit manager participates in and supports strategic development and outcomes management of nursing service line and/or department improvements within multi and/or specialty units of responsibility. They are responsible for review and evaluation of operations and services in accordance with business requirements, market place trends and technological needs. Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care for a nursing unit. Collaborates with and supports director and key UEM key leaders, groups and stakeholder audiences in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives.
