Nursing Assistant: $5,000.00 sign on Bonus

Cape Regional Health System is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County. Cape Regional Physicians Associates has over 60 primary care providers and specialists, delivering services in multiple locations throughout Cape May County.

The Nurse Assistant is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
This position requires cross-training to unit clerk role. Cape Regional will provide the necessary training, with starting hourly rates at $15.25 an hour plus evening/night differential rates and tuition assistance.

Duties include:

• Observes and reports to the RN for all significant changes in patient’s condition
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (e.g. preparing patient for and assisting with meals, bathing)
• Takes and records vital signs, height and weights, measures and records fluid intake and output, collects specimens
• Assist with transport of patients within the hospital
• One-on-one observation with required documentation. Close observation monitoring
• Demonstrates proficient computer skills
• Ability to follow through with physician orders
• Management of Charts, HPI information, answers phone, unit clerk duties
• Utilizes internal paging system and patient call system
• Willing to Cross Train as Monitor Tech and Unit Clerk
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent
American Heart Association, (AHA) CPR Certification required
Previous Nurse Aide experience preferred
