Job Description


The NOC Lead is responsible for designing, implementing and being an overall subject matter expert on all facets of cloud platform operations with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal stake holders.

Responsibilities


  • Manage a distributed team of Linux system engineers\cloud platform operations technicians.
  • Become subject matter expert (SME) on iboss cloud platform. Make technical calls on escalated incident handling.
  • Lead and document incident escalations.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders (engineering, support, DevOps) and occasionally customers to provide technical guidance and incident status updates.
  • Lead escalated Incident Management team and develop maturity plans to continually improve.
  • Work with the Director of Information Security to ensure the security and compliance requirements of networks and protected data.
  • Setup and maintain various services and support tools on various cloud platforms; Linux etc
  • Collaborate with Sr. Platform Operations Manager to design and improve monitoring solutions.
  • Develop processes and performs activities to ensure consistent, high-quality service/support levels and identifies potential problems/trends

Qualifications


  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of cloud platforms and experience in building a high availability infrastructure.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Internet based technologies (DNS, Security, IP Routing, SSH, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.)
  • Broad understanding of the Linux operating system (CentOS) and cloud application architecture.
  • 3+ years' experience in IT leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing a highly scalable and distributed infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technical projects
  • Certifications preferred but not required
  • Previous experience with 24 X 7 support
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting independently as well as demonstrates ability to lead with a focus on teamwork and persistence
  • Demonstrate high analytical skills through troubleshooting and maintenance of complex technical environments
  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
