Swedish Medical Center, part of HCA’s HealthONE, is located in the south metro Denver area where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 110 years. Under the supervision of the laboratory manager, performs EEGs in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units. Performs Ambulatory EEG recordings and electrocerebral silence tracings. Performs intensive neurodiagnostic monitoring (INDM) of patients in the epilepsy center. Performs evoked potential recordings. Assists physicians in EMG, NCV and TCD studies. Shares an on-call rotation with other staff for emergency studies.

Qualifications

Position Requirements
A.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:

BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.

Must be ABRET EEG registered. Knowledge/experience in neurophysiologic testing including evoked potentials.


B.
Education:

Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training. Some college level work is preferable.


C.
Experience:

2 years minimum experience in Neurodiagnostic technology (may include time spent in training).


D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Able to independently perform routine EEG studies as per job-specific criteria.

Degree of Supervision Required

Minimal – individual proceeds on his/her own initiative in compliance with policies, procedures, and practice prescribed by immediate supervisor.


Orientation Period
: 90 days
