Job Description
Exciting Traveling Secret or TS Clearance Network Engineer.

Jan-Apr 2022 with Option to Extend (100% Travel, Full Per-Diem) Network Engineer

Boarhog LLC is looking for a SECRET-cleared mid-level network engineer to work on a very exciting Air Force BITI project. This independent contributor position requires at least five years of DoD network engineering experience, a general interest in Air Force & Joint Interoperability, a Bachelor’s degree, or 10 years experience without the degree.

You will be doing Cutover, Testing and Stay Behind support for the new core infrastructure being integrated with existing base infrastructure at the work sites you will be traveling to. There are several opportunities to extend work on BITI, but also strong potential to have long term contracts to support the prime contractor as an operations manager for network engineering for those that have team lead experience.

Perhaps you would just like to work with high per diem for a few months and take it easy for a few months after separating from the military or retiring, or, perhaps you would like to extend. The need to stay on is preferred but not required and we support your goals wherever they may be! Boarhog LLC is a unique family-oriented Mission Engineering firm that is a certified SDVOSB and HUBZone small business based out of San Diego, California, with funded contracts coast-to-coast and abroad.

  • 401K.
  • Health savings.
  • Relocation or a small signing bonus. whichever applies.
  • Competitive pay and opportunities for additional compensation, a welcoming work culture, and support for your entire career, not just while you are on contract.

For BITI, Network Engineers need to have:
  • DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Security+ (or other IAT Level II cert).
  • CCNP or CCNA.
  • 5 years’ experience with Bachelor’s degree or 10 years’ experience without.

The gear that is being deployed is Cisco, but it is only for the core. The core needs to integrate with rest of the base. Most of the sites you will be traveling to have legacy Avaya equipment. Knowledge of Avaya highly desirable!
