Network Engineer

Quadrint is seeking a Network Engineer in the Landover, MD area.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Provide design and upgrade efforts encompassing the network infrastructure across a large-scale enterprise Information Technology (IT) program.
• Review and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies.
• Recommend best practices such as SDN, Intent-based networking, and network segmentation protocols, etc., in order to improve the existing architecture and meet new networking requirements.
• Design telecommunications circuit specifications.
• Identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services.
• Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations to deliver Infrastructure-as -Code.
• Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts.

Security Clearance Requirement:
Active/current Top Secret clearance minimum with SCI eligibility is required.

Required Qualifications:

• We encourage all levels of experience to apply from 0 to 2 years with BS/BA, or 6 to 8 years with no degree, up to 12 to 15 years with BS/BA, or 7 to 9 years with PhD.
• Cisco experience; proven expertise with Cisco network hardware including: routers, switches, firewalls, unified communications equipment, VMware environments.
• Virtual and physical Internet Protocol and Fiber Channel networks and routing protocols.
• Designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting LAN, WAN and low bandwidth networks protected by network encryptors.
• At a minimum, must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Information Assurance Certifications consistent with the 8570 IAT Level Ill.
• Professional certification in Cisco, VMware, and/or ITIL.
