If you have the knowledge and skills necessary to fully participate in all projects, tasks, maintenance activities, and support tasks involving the court system’s WAN and enterprise messaging infrastructure, you are encouraged to apply for the Network and Messaging Infrastructure Architect position. The supported infrastructure includes over 100 local area networks supporting several thousand computing devices and over 2,700 users.

This is a project position with an expected term end on June 1, 2022. However, there is a budget request to make the project position permanent. Additionally, every effort will be made to find a comparable position within the Court System should the project term hold.

Position Summary: 1) Responds to and resolves complex production support issues as escalated by the CCAP call center, generated by system-generated alerts, or transferred by other CCAP 3rd-tier support staff. 2) Researches, designs, tests, and implements the network infrastructure that supports operations of the Wisconsin Court System and ensures a continuity of statewide court services. 3) Supports and maintains all aspects of the Wisconsin Court System enterprise email platform. 4) Trains and mentors Court Technology Support Engineers for the purpose of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of end user technical support. Develops high quality documentation for reference by CCAP technical support staff. 5) Monitors production systems to proactively improve performance or to resolve pending technical problems. Performs field service as necessary to troubleshoot and resolve courthouse-based technical issues. 6) Reacts to technical emergencies or disasters and takes appropriate remediating action.

Special Notes: 1) Employment will require a criminal background check. 2) Must meet the minimum standards for driving a state vehicle. 3) Must be able to travel throughout the State of Wisconsin with occasional overnights.

Qualifications: 1) Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. 2) Three to five years of applicable experience. 3) Experience supporting enterprise email systems, LANs, WANs, Windows servers, Linux operating systems, and web services. 4) Experience in a senior or lead role on a technical support team.
