LewisGale Medical Center (LGMC) delivers quality care to our patients located in the beautiful mountainous region of Southwest Virginia. SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE:

• Continuously monitors electrocardiograph recordings on a central station monitor.
• Maintains patient record according to hospital policy.
• Communicates effectively with staff supervisors, ancillary departments and other customers.
• Maintains neat and organized work area
• Attends required annual and job specific education opportunities.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• 
  Satisfactory completion of Basic Cardiac EKG Class (required)

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in healthcare setting (required)
• Previous monitor technician experience (preferred)
• Satisfactory completion of Basic Cardiac EKG Class (required)

LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Healthcare Provider (required)
