Summary

Reporting to the Design Manager, the Multi-Media Graphic Designer is responsible for the entire motion design and video production pipeline. The ideal candidate will have experience designing motion graphics in a fast-paced environment, while also displaying an aptitude and passion for design, art, video production, and trending concepts.

The Multi-Media Graphic Designer is responsible for working with Senior Designers, Copywriters, and Developers to develop original creative for websites, social, web, conferences/trade shows, presentations, and other direct response marketing materials. This person will also review media or client-developed content to ensure brand consistency/standards are met, formatting is aligned to specifications, and materials are relevant to the audience.

This position requires a candidate who can collaborate effectively with internal and external team members to develop creative assets using established brand and style guides. The ideal candidate works well under the direction of senior-level team members, can quickly understand project requirements for day-to-day asset development, and can prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate is experienced working in the Adobe Creative Suite and has a strong understanding of design fundamentals. The candidate should understand motion trends and technologies. This position requires an individual who is a good time manager and who can maintain quality during periods of heavy work.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Projects are completed with high quality and delivered on schedule
  • Effectively communicate concepts and ideas to the project lead and production team
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Work closely with video producers, motion designers, and graphics designers to incorporate design assets into motion graphics
  • Manage multiple projects within design specifications

General Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of motion graphic design.
  • Expert proficiency using industry software applications, Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience in production, sound design, and/or 3D experience (Cinema 4D or similar 3D software) is a plus
  • Excellent design, layout, and typography skills
  • Good time management and communication skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with extremely tight deadlines.
  • Must have a current and evolving sense of design with an excellent eye for detail
  • Creative problem solver with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have a compelling portfolio of motion design work over a wide range of creative projects
  • Must have the ability to be creative and technical while adhering to an existing brand style guide
  • Basic understanding of 2D and/or 3D character animations and rigging using After Effects & plug-ins and/or 3D software (i.e. Rubberhose plug-in, Cinema 4D, etc.)

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $52,000 -70,000.
