    Multi-Classroom Leader Facilitator

    Job Title: Multi-Classroom Leader Facilitator
    Reports To: Building Principal
    Classification: Opportunity Culture/Professional
    Wage/Hour Status: Exempt

    Salary: See Compensation Plan (Stipend includes completion of ten (10) additional leadership days as scheduled by the building principal)

    Primary Purpose: The multi-classroom leader facilitator (MCL-F) is responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of an Opportunity Culture Program on one or more campuses and leads a team of 3 or more multi-classroom leaders.
    The MCL-F leads the campus OC-TX team in determining the OC-TX model(s) that best addresses the needs of the campus(es) and establishes evaluative criteria to determine whether the program is effective in achieving improved student achievement. The MCL-F monitors student data to inform decisions regarding the need for potential changes to campus design plan(s).
    The MCL-F coordinates collaboration among MCLs to guide instructional strategies and effective best practices in all OC-TX classrooms. The MCL-F is fully accountable for the learning and development of all students within the OC-TX program on the campuses (s)he supports.
    The MCL-F prepares OC-TX communication materials for staff, parents, and the campus community, subject to the principal’s approval.
    Qualifications/Skills: Education/Certification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
    • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position.
    • Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State Law.
    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Knowledge of instructional planning and delivery.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to identify instructional strategies and models that correlate to increased student achievement.
    • Ability to analyze data, identify areas for growth, and implement strategies and/or models that will drive student achievement.
    • Proficient in the effective use of technology.
    • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
    • Prior evidence of student achievement in the relevant subjects (in the top 25% compared to other teachers in a state or on national tests) or, at entry level, evidence of superior prior academic achievements, and organizing and influence skills indicating high potential to perform at this level.
    Experience:
    • Experience successfully leading and managing a team of adults to accomplish goals.
    • Five (5) years of teaching experience required.
    • Experience as an OC-TX MCL preferred.

    Major Duties and
    Responsibilities: Planning and Preparation:
    • In collaboration with campus leadership, set high expectations of achievement that are ambitious and measurable for OC-TX on the campus(s).
    • Model methods and create instructional tools and materials that teachers use in classrooms.
    • Coach, verbally and with tools and materials, that clarify content and teaching processes.
    • Lead MCL team(s) to analyze data and identify instructional strategies that correlate with high levels of achievement.
    • Schedules regularly occurring individual and group planning sessions with campus OC-TX staff.
    • Pull assessment data after formative and summative assessments for teachers to analyze and plan instruction and interventions.
    • Survey teacher pedagogical capacity and create action plan for teacher implementation of best practices.
    • Model lessons for teachers, observe teachers deliver lessons and coach teachers on next steps of implementation.
    School(s) Environment:
    • Lead MCL team(s) to:
      • Hold OC-TX EITs accountable for high levels of student achievement
      • Create school-wide knowledge-base for the OC-TX program and
      • Establish a culture of respect, enthusiasm, rapport, and digital citizenship among MCLs
      • Coach MCLs on the management of student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook
    Instruction:
    • Lead MCLs to:
      • Hold students accountable for ambitious, measurable standards for academic achievement
      • Coach teachers on identifying and addressing individual students’ social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs and barriers
      • Coach teachers on identifying and addressing individual students’ development of organizational and time-management skills
      • Incorporate small-group and individual instruction to personalize instruction to, including working cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans
      • Incorporate technology to differentiate instruction and enhance student learning
      • Monitor and analyze student assessment data to inform instruction
    Professional Responsibilities:
    • Solicit and eagerly receive feedback from supervisor and team members to improve professional skills.
    • Model professionalism for MCLs, teachers, and students.
    • Support the mission and vision of school district/campus.
    • Lead team to maintain regular communication with families, working collaboratively to design meaningful learning experiences.
    • Model SBISD values through interactions with staff members, students, and families.
    • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents and community members.
    • Resolve conflicts with team and/or individual colleagues.
    • Organize and schedule team time to ensure alignment of instructional vision and delivery in classrooms to troubleshoot learning challenges.
    • Provide feedback to campus leadership.
    • Provide counsel to MCLs on clarifying and adjusting team members’ roles to develop their effectiveness.
    • Participates and designs professional learning opportunities for staff.
    • Attend professional learning opportunities to remain informed of best practices in relevant content areas.
    • Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
    • Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and documents as required.
    • Collaborate and communicate with other campus OC-TX staff.
    • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
    Other:
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Continuation in position is dependent upon meeting accountability expectations.

    Supervisory
    Responsibilities: Manage and coach members of team and provide performance information to building principal, or other designee, for evaluation.
    Equipment Used: Computer, ACTIV Board, copy machine, projector, and other appropriate technologies.
    Working Conditions: Mental Demands:
    • Maintain emotional control under stress.
    • Work with frequent interruptions.
    • This position requires regular interacting with the public.
    Physical Demands:
    • Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desk, and other classroom equipment.
    • Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
