BON SECOURS ST. FRANCISPOSITION SUMMARYAssist the technologist by performing patient care and administrative functions that free the technologist to focus on providing high quality technical care that requires a licensed staff member to perform.JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous healthcare experience and/or customer relations experience preferred.
  • Requires experience assessing and solving customer problems by using excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Requires the knowledge necessary to use multiple software systems within Bon Secours including PACS, Cadence, Radiant software and PowerScribe Application.
  • Requires demonstrated intermediate computer knowledge and the ability to utilize software applications such as Excel and Microsoft Word.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Check for lab work, when applicable.
  • Question patient or patient's family on past/present medical history.
  • Explain MRI procedure to the patient Give oral contrast to patients, when applicable and under the supervision of the technologist.
  • Prepare scan room for patients exams (load contrast, set up table).
  • Direct patient into and out of the scan room.
  • Guide patient off the table after scan is complete (disconnect IV access)
  • Escort patient out of department.
  • Clean exam room after each patient.
  • Provides feedback of “the voice of the customer” to Imaging Management.
  • Assists referring physicians to access films and reports via PACS system.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
