What's the Role?
We are currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Underwriting T eam Lead to join our innovative and passionate team.
Responsibilities:
Distribute work to underwriting team according to goals and workload
Responds to procedural, product, and system questions for assigned FHA team
Participates in performance review process with the FHA Product Manager
Act as an escalation contact for government related questions and guidance
Manage Ceridian updates for assigned FHA team
Keep management apprised of development as they relate to personnel, workflow and conventional-related projects
Perform other job-related duties and special products as required
Requirements:
BS/BA in Finance, Operations or Management preferred, or equivalent work history
5+ years of experience in all aspects of residential mortgage origination for both Conventional and Government loans.
Strong knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to the mortgage banking industry (QM, ATR, RESPA, ECOA, AIR, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail
Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
Encompass experience required
