The Junior Loan Officer program is a 6-month training and mentorship to develop employees into Direct Loan Officers. Some candidates may graduate sooner than 6-months based on meeting or exceeding requirements. Direct Loan Officers guide borrowers who have responded to corporate-generated marketing plans through the loan application process to get the best possible type of loan for their specific needs. This includes evaluating, identifying and recommending the options available to them while providing a return on the company’s marketing investment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

JLO Program:

Provide customer service and logistical support to two experienced loan officers.

Make a minimum number of outbound calls to develop leads for experienced loan officers on a daily basis.

Collect documentation from borrowers to complete loan application prior to submission to processing.

Close $2.5 million in funded loan volume to advance to direct loan officer position.

Direct Loan Officer Responsibilities upon Graduation:
Convert inbound marketing leads into sales opportunities by leveraging our internal sales methodology and technology to build meaningful relationships with borrowers. Take a customer-centered approach and ask probing questions to uncover financial needs. Listen, educate and nurture customer relationships. Be curious and friendly.

Qualify borrowers by navigating them through the loan application so their credit, income and collateral can be properly analyzed manually or by an AUS (automated underwriting systems). Ensure a complete and accurate 1003 to streamline process and set foundation for saleable loan.

Educate borrowers on the different loan products available to them as well as the related terms and payments so they can make an informed decision. Set proper expectations and milestones with the borrower in order to close the loan in timeframe agreed upon with the customer. Take special care to define dates and deadlines on purchase loans.

Negotiate an interest-rate with the borrower that serves both their needs and returns a healthy profit to reinvest in the business.

Navigate the loan application and process by maximizing the technological tools available while pursuing all leads on a continual basis. Farm LOS and CRM for lead opportunities to supplement incoming leads. Make outbound calls for referrals as business demands.

Establish and manage ongoing nurture campaigns, optimizing CRM.

Deliver all necessary compliance paperwork to the borrower in timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
Secure the borrower’s commitment to do business by demonstrating value and building trust through customer-centered selling. Review credit, order appraisal, and run AUS to cement the sale.

Expedite the loan process by assisting the borrower assemble the various financial documents required for submission to processing. Examine appraisal upon receipt to resolve any deficiencies and follow-up on missing documentation.

Resolve customer complaints fix issues that arise during the loan process with an emphasis on courtesy and responsiveness. Solve all conditions prior to closing. Resell terms and conditions of loan as necessary.

Partner with loan processors and underwriters in order to adequately resolve any delays in the loan process that would detract from the borrower experience.

Create a transformative borrower experience that builds customer loyalty and brand awareness in order to grow and expand market share.

Foster an internal desire to further your knowledge of the business through educational opportunities, participating in business-related seminars, attending networking events, or taking part in corporate activities.
Promote self through social media and in person.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
