Monitor Technician

Overview:POSITION SUMMARY:Monitor Technicians function as a member of the Patient Care Team. They observe, monitor, and interpret patients' EKG rhythms per remote viewing station. They assemble and maintain logs and are able to recognize and identify cardiac rhythms, alarms, and emergent situations. The Monitor Technician communicates with nursing staff and assist them when needed.Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma/GED
• Completion of rhythm recognition, interpretation class upon hire or within 3 weeks of date of hire
• CPR certified through the American Heart Association

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• EKG certified
