Mobile Web And UX Designer

Background.

When we rebuild our current website, boutique-homes.com with many new features and with the migration from our old site, the developer focused on the desktop version. We were aware of the importance of a mobile version but building a separate mobile version at the same time was not practical. So we settled on a responsive version for the time being, knowing that once the new desktop version is in place we can then focus on a standalone mobile app.

Task

We are looking now for a mobile web designer with an UX background to design the mobile version. We can then give the new design to the developers of the desktop version because they will be already familiar with the site structure, functions, code and database.

You need to review the current responsive website and create a standalone mobile friendly version which will be shown to users if the system detects that the user is on a mobile device.

By designing a mobile version, you can focus on the features a user is used to on mobile, but using the already existing functions of the system (rate quotes, search, booking flow, payment, user accounts etc.) It is just the task to display the info and images in a better mobile environment.

Requirements

You need to have extensive experience in mobile web design and UX and we expect to see some accomplished work and references.

This position can be remote but your location needs to match our timezone (PST). We expect the candidate to be available 40 hours a week.
