MEP Estimator

***IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A MEP ESTIMATOR***

One of the largest MEP contractors in Indiana is looking to add an Electrical Estimator to their team in Fort Wayne, IN. This individual will be responsible for attending pre-con meetings, completing estimate take offs, evaluating bids from subcontractors/vendors, developing scope of work, and meeting project due dates. This individual must be willing to work on both design -build and plan spec projects. They do a lot of work in the industrial and Hospital/Healthcare industries. This is a long term opportunity with a very reputable MEP contractor in NE Indiana.

Job Duties:

• attend pre-con meetings
• complete estimate take offs
• evaluating bids from subcontractors/vendors
• developing scope of work
• meet project due dates

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of field electrical experience (apprentice 3 or Journeyman)
• Exposure to cost estimates (materials costs, labor)
• Experience working on industrial, Hospitals, or Commercial buildings
• Estimating software experience (they use AccuBid but any estimating software is acceptable)

• This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to get out of the field an into an office based role and work towards a leadership role. This client is willing to train individuals who have been exposed to electrical estimating, even though this person may not have completed estimates.
