Job Specific Information:

This position is a third shift, overnight awake position.

1. Help establish an emotionally safe environment in which students can identify their strengths and growth areas, develop and practice new skills, and appropriately challenge themselves.

2. Adhere to all guidelines and policies for ensuring student health and safety, including in unusual and unexpected situations, both on and off campus.

3. Maintain and help instill standards of community responsibility; engage students in taking ownership of, and pride in, chores, meal prep, and other contributions to campus life.

4. Supervise, lead, help plan, and/or participate in, to the extent appropriate, students’ daily and special activities, including community meetings, outdoor recreational activities (including day and extended expeditions), yoga, music, art, service work, and physical education.

5. Set and enforce behavior management plans and student limits, and provide crisis intervention as required to resolve conflicts and contain inappropriate and/or unsafe behavior, according to company policy.

6. Help students develop and practice coping, conflict resolution, and communications skills through reflection and modeling.

7. Document, report, and review students’ progress, behaviors, and needs (including medical issues).

8. Administer medications.

9. Maintain all required trainings.

10. Adhere to all agency, local, state and federal rules and regulations.

11. Transport students to and from activities and appointments.

12. Complete all other duties as assigned.

Education:High School (Required)Certifications:North Carolina Driver License (Valid) - NC Division of Motor VehiclesExperience:12 Steps Of NA/AA Experience, Professional Or Personal Experience In Addiction Treatment And Recovery., Working With At-Risk Teenager ExperienceQualifications:1056054, 12 Steps Of NA/AA Experience, High School, North Carolina Driver License (Valid) - NC Division of Motor Vehicles, Professional Or Personal Experience In Addiction Treatment And Recovery., Working With At-Risk Teenager ExperienceSkills:Ability to change routine in a positive manner, Able to maintain good work attendance, Build positive relationship with people supported, Contribute to a positive work environment, Expertise in and passion for an avocation that can be shared with students (e.g., gardening, photography, mountain biking, drumming, etc.), Maintain safe work environment, Must respond appropriately to emergency situations
