PORTIA BELL HUME BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND TRAINING CENTER (aka The Hume Center) has a rewarding opportunity for a qualified Mental Health Clinician under the leadership of The Hume Center’s Clinic Program Manager. LOCATION: PLEASANTON (OFFICE) / TRI-VALLEY (DUBLIN, LIVERMORE, PLEASANTON)

PROGRAM: SCHOOL BASED SERVICES (SBS) AND PLEASANTON OUTPATIENT


PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Population Served: School-Age (5-21) and adults involved in the lives of students (e.g., parents, school staff, administrators).

Services Provided: Prevention, Early Intervention, Mental Health Consultation, Groups, Outreach and Medi-Cal Treatment Services.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work.
  • Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences OR eligible to be licensed with the Board of Psychology.
  • Four years clinical experience providing psychological services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical services in service program(s), included, but not limited to, intake, assessment, therapy, case management, crisis intervention, consultation.
  • Complete initial screening, gather information for assessment and triage clients by coordinating services with therapists.
  • Develop treatment plans for each client clearly identifying goals, objectives, service needs and methods of intervention.
  • Schedule and attend regular appointments with clients in Hume Center offices, homes, and community settings to assist client’s progress in successfully accomplishing goals.
  • Make contact with, and include as appropriate, parent, family, caseworkers and other collateral contracts.
  • Collaborate and/or consult with 3rd parties in client cases.
  • Maintain on-going contact with client and service providers in order to monitor service delivery, client progress, and assess additional needs.
  • Collaborate closely with service providers in coordinating service delivery.
  • Facilitate support/therapy groups.
  • Provide mental health consultation.
  • Identify community resources and establish effective collaborative relationships with liaisons in the community.
  • Assist client in how to effectively navigate and link to community systems.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, trainings, group and individual supervision.
  • Maintain client case records, and document activities as required by agency, funding source, and contract requirements.
  • Complete case records, including intakes, clinical progress notes, discharge/transfer summaries, treatment plans and other documentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in Trainee Recruitment, as needed.
  • Present and/or Facilitate Program Orientation, Didactic and Training meetings. Didactics are weekly and include topics relevant to working in schools (e.g., Mental Health Consultation, Systems level work, Suicide and Bullying, Group Therapy, Child Psychiatry, etc.)
