Job Description


Sign-on bonus up to $10,000*

Performs a variety of routine and/or complex laboratory tests or procedures in the various laboratory disciplines. Demonstrates knowledge of scientific principles and safe work practices. Displays independent judgement, professionalism and teamwork in the performance of duties. Works as a generalist.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs laboratory testing in a safe, accurate and timely manner according to priority status
  • Applies knowledge of reference ranges and critical values when interpreting patient results
  • Evaluates control sample values e.g. notes trends, shifts, takes appropriate actions when control sample is outside acceptable limits
  • Demonstrates proficiency with the laboratory’s LIS Meditech system and basic skills at troubleshooting potential problems

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology (MT/MLT).
  • ASCP certification or the equivalent (NCA, HEW) preferred.
  • Will consider a new graduate from a Medical Technology program.
