Job Description

Summary: Working with supervision from the Academic Dean and technical supervision from the Program Director or Division Manager, faculty are primarily responsible for the teaching and learning process to ensure student learning and mastery of course, program and in some areas institutional learning outcomes. This is a part-time role teaching our morning and afternoon classes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fulfills all duties enumerated within the Statement of Faculty Responsibilities
  • Reviews and adheres to the guidelines in the Faculty Handbook.
  • Prepares and executes lesson plans for assigned courses
  • Prepares course syllabus and informs students of course requirements
  • Documents grades and other student interaction in Campus Nexus within 48 hours
  • Adheres to programmatic accrediting requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities: Faculty supervise student conduct in the classroom, on the campus, and on field trips and school related functions.

Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree, 3 years experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret materials related to area of expertise; ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from students, employees and members of the business community; ability to effectively present information to students, employees, and the business community.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and all software programs related to courses to be taught.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Faculty must have required certificates, licenses and registrations required for the course(s) they are to teach.
