Job Description
SUMMARY OF JOB: Answering high volume of emergency & routine calls promptly, taking accurate messages for our Physician offices (from Physicians, nurses, hospitals, nursing home staff, patients, etc). Inputting messages into the correct on call account (in our Amtelco Software Program) by documenting details of call according to custom message ticket prompts. Prioritize and dispatch calls to their appropriate destination without delay. Also responsible for updating on call information/schedules at any given time. Must be able to take and follow directions from Physicians and/or their office personnel. Performs other office related duties as required.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum of 35wpm) along with basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills (speaks clearly and professional).
  • Excellent reading/comprehension skills.
  • 1-2 years Office, Telephone or Customer Service experience needed.
  • Prior Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred (but not required).
  • Flexible schedule a plus as department is 24/7.
  • Must be available for every other weekend and every other Holiday.

Location: Holy Redeemer Health System · Hosp Medical Messaging
Schedule: Supplemental, Evening, 3:30pm -12a ever other weekend and 5pm -9pm on various evenings
