Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
Seeking a Medical Lab Technician for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. The Medical Lab Technician's responsibilities include: Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding in one or more areas of the clinical laboratory, assists in instructing other personnel as assigned, and performs with a perceptive depth of clinical laboratory tests and procedures which require the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility.
  • Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis and applies techniques used in fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, serology, blood banking, urinalysis, chemical and morphological examinations to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • Knowledgeable of laws, regulations and standards of accrediting agencies.

Qualifications


A. Education/Skills
Minimum of Associates’ Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or other Chemical/Biology to meet CLIA Standards.

B. Experience
1 year general lab or equivalent clinical laboratory training

C. Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications
NCA, ASCP, HEW or AMT (or registry eligible and must obtain within one year of hire)
