The Medical Clinic Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients at front desk and coordinating check in and check out.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Check in patients by ensuring medical records have been pulled, demographics and eligibility verified/updated, and forms completed.
  • Check out patients by scheduling return appointments, providing referral information if needed, ensure lab requests are completed.
  • Schedules appointments with appropriate physicians.
  • Answer multi-line phones and transfer caller to appropriate party or find customer resolution.
  • Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments, confirm it or reschedule appointment if necessary.
  • Great and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at front desk.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned (i.e. scanning, photocopying and faxing.)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited instititution.
  • 6 months of experience as a receptionist in a medical office; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required in most offices.
  • For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
